Project overview.

Westrow is a repeat client for whom we have designed salons in multiple locations. This salon won The Design One category at The Big One Trophy 2020.

The brief was to design the salon over two floors, providing a high-end customer experience that reflected the Westrow brand. We considered how customers would feel throughout their visit, from arrival at reception through to the hair-washing stations, creating an individual aesthetic for this location.

We provided a bespoke design for the reception counter and styling units with feature suspended mirrors. Lighting was carefully considered, with low-level illumination in the washing areas and lighting in the open salon designed to avoid casting shadows for the stylists.

The result is a successful high-end hair salon in the beautiful Thornton’s Arcade in Leeds city centre.
