Grand gestures.
Intimate moments.

The Aurelian is a super luxury hotel concept exploring a richly layered setting for arrival, relaxation and dining.

We approach the hotel as a whole, thinking about how its spaces connect and how guests experience the building as they move through it. Where people naturally walk, what they see along the way and how one space leads into another are central to our design process. Each setting can have its own character while feeling part of the same hotel.

With The Aurelian, we’ve had the freedom to explore these relationships from the outset. That has been a particularly enjoyable part of the process: shaping the journey through the hotel alongside the atmosphere and detail of each space.

Soaring arches, a sculptural curved staircase and a deep timber coffered ceiling give the interiors a shared architectural language. Curved sofas and generous lounge chairs create intimate settings within the grand atrium, while a circular bar forms the focus of the restaurant upstairs. The design pairs grand gestures with smaller places to sit, gather and linger.

Pale stone, dark herringbone flooring and warm metallic accents run through the scheme, with deep green and burnt-orange upholstery adding richness and planting softening the architecture. From fluted joinery and softly lit shelving to furniture and table settings, we consider how each detail contributes to the guest experience. The images shown are design visualisations.
