Adapt Real Estate
No.3 Embankment demonstrates how carefully targeted design can transform the experience of an entire building. Covering less than 5,000 sq ft within a 35,000 sq ft office building, the scheme focused on the shared spaces that shape first impressions and everyday use.
Working with Adapt Real Estate, RU Creative delivered the interior design, building branding and full FF&E procurement package. The brief was to give this Leeds waterfront workplace a recognisable identity, strengthen its appeal to prospective occupiers and provide more for the businesses already based there.
Branding and interiors were developed together, with circles, softened corners and vertical detailing creating a consistent language from signage through to furniture and finishes. Sage green, dusty pink and warm peach sit alongside timber, cream upholstery and crisp black accents, bringing warmth and character to the existing architecture.

The design in detail.
The double-height reception establishes this identity through bespoke ribbed panelling, sculptural lighting, integrated planting and upholstered seating. Connected directly to the business lounge, it creates a welcoming setting where people can pause, meet and work throughout the day.
Within the lounge, booth seating, a communal table and flexible furniture offer a choice of settings for focused work, informal meetings and collaboration. A tea point and suspended planting add to the relaxed atmosphere, giving occupiers shared amenities beyond their own office space.
The same attention extends to the showers and toilets. Bold tile patterns, tactile finishes and coordinated detailing create a consistent sense of quality, while upgraded shower facilities support those who walk, run or cycle to work.

03 / The project
Bringing it together.
Existing fabric and infrastructure were retained wherever possible, including the air conditioning system, which was updated rather than replaced. Durable finishes, modular flooring and adaptable furniture support long-term use and straightforward maintenance.
Feedback from agents reported an improved response from prospective occupiers. By concentrating investment where people experience the building most, No.3 Embankment gained a stronger identity, more useful shared spaces and renewed commercial appeal.
