Full Interior Design & FF&E Procurement

Set within one of Leeds’ most characterful waterfront locations, No.3 Embankment was designed to redefine the experience of a modern commercial workplace. Our brief was to create a destination-led environment that balanced hospitality-inspired design with the practical demands of a multi-tenant office building.

RU Creative delivered the full interior design scheme alongside the complete FF&E procurement package, transforming the shared spaces into a warm, contemporary environment designed to enhance tenant experience and support wellbeing throughout the building.

The design centred around creating moments of comfort, connection and calm. Soft architectural curves, layered textures and muted tonal palettes were introduced to contrast against the industrial character of the existing building. Throughout the scheme, natural materials, integrated planting and carefully considered lighting were used to soften the commercial setting and create a more residential feel.

The reception space was designed to establish an immediate sense of arrival, combining clean architectural detailing with biophilic elements and warm, welcoming finishes. Feature planting installations, soft upholstered seating and bespoke joinery help create a space that feels both refined and approachable.

Alongside the reception, we designed a range of amenity spaces intended to encourage collaboration, informal working and social interaction. The business lounge and breakout areas were approached with a hospitality mindset, incorporating booth seating, layered lighting and flexible furniture arrangements to support different styles of working throughout the day.

Meeting rooms were designed to feel intimate and comfortable rather than corporate, using acoustic treatments, soft fabrics and decorative lighting to improve both functionality and atmosphere. The wellness and shower facilities continued the same design language through the use of bold tile patterns, tactile finishes and contrasting dark detailing.

A key part of the project was ensuring the furniture and styling complemented the architecture and enhanced the overall user experience. RU Creative managed the full FF&E procurement process, carefully curating furniture, lighting and accessories that aligned with the design vision while delivering durability and practicality for everyday use.

The result is a commercially driven workplace environment that feels elevated, design-led and experience focused, helping position No.3 Embankment as a standout destination within the Leeds office market.
